FAQ's

When can I start?
You can join PT-ME and pram as soon as you have had your post natal check with the GP (6 weeks). As long as they have given you the OK to exercise.

What do I wear?

Good trainers or shoes for walking
Good fitting sports bra
Depending on the weather - hats and gloves for you and
baby in colder times, sunshades and caps in hotter weather for baby.
Comfortable clothing that you can move about easily in.

What if it rains?

We strive to workout in any weather so come prepared according to the weather, remember to dress for the weather (you can always take layers off, rather than start with too few layers). Wrap the baby up appropriately for the colder weather, as they won’t be moving as much as you too keep warm.

What not to forget?

Snack for baby / toddler
Drink for mother and baby
Rain cover / sunshade
Hats and gloves / sun cream
Toys for baby / toddler.

Preparation
Make sure you feed your baby prior to PT-ME and pram workouts, this should hopefully ensure baby doesn’t get hungry and you get an hour for yourself to concentrate on the exercises. If you are breastfeeding this also ensures exercising will be more comfortable for yourself.

Are we qualified?
Yes, PT-ME and pram was put together by PT-ME personal trainer Aaron Sturgess who is a Level 4 advanced professional on the REPs register, he also had input from another level 4 professional and recent mother Gisele Merry.

What can be expected?

PT-ME and pram workouts are an hour long, we will use the picturesque location Marlow and Higginson park pathways to create our route, ranging from half a mile up to 3 miles. We will venture out of the park on some workouts for longer walks.

Classes start with a moderate warm up walk, moving into a power walk and run for those who feel they can and to raise the heart rate. Each class involves bodyweight and muscle strengthening exercises to create a truly all round workout to burn the fat and tone the muscle. We will also have plenty of exercises to do with your baby / toddler to keep them engaged. We then finish off with a cool down and stretch.

In the sessions we will concentrate on posture, core and correct picking up and manoeuvrings of your little ones.

All workouts have been developed to take into account the different abilities of mothers, sizes and ages of children so we can assess your ability throughout. You can also contact your trainer by email and mobile anytime for further advice and questions should you need it if you can not wait until the next PT-ME and pram workout.
