Spinning – Wednesdays 12pm
Spinning, Studio Cycling, Indoor Class Cycling or whatever your gym likes to call it, is basically a room of specialised bikes facing your instructor. Listening to upbeat music to help maintain a good pace throughout you will be guided through a series of hand combinations to simulate flat cycling and hill climbs. The idea has been around since the 80’s and is an excellent way to get the heart beating and significantly improve your fitness. It is a high intensity cardiovascular workout which can be taken at your own level using the resistance.
Nordic Walking – Wednesdays 10.30am
Nordic Walking makes an everyday activity even more enjoyable and effective!
Nordic Walking uses poles to in order to add two major benefits to walking
- The use of poles means the upper body muscles are used as well as the legs
- The poles help to propel the walker along – this means he/she works harder than usual yet the support given by the poles makes it feel easier!
- Burn up to 40% more calories as you walk
Nordic Walking is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running as the poles are not planted in front of the walker/runner but in a specific way that increases the use of the upper body. It can be done by anybody, anywhere and the Nordic poles will be provided by the Expert Fitness Studio

Power Skip – Thursdays 1.15pm - 1.45pm
An intense full body workout incorporating as
much skipping techniques as possible. Skipping is a great
cardiovascular workout, don't worry this class is for all abilities.
I also throw in some body weight exercises, dumbbells and steps to
add variety.
